Several blogs have put up postings discussing the Raja Petra Kamaruddin (RPK) interview with the mainstream media that appeared on New Year's Day.
Datuk Ahirudin Attan in a posting on the Rocky's Bru blog titled "RPK's nail on Anwar Ibrahim's coffin", pointed out that among the immediate response from the Pakatan Rakyat supporters was to accuse RPK of selling out and becoming a Barisan Nasional tool.
Rocky observed that "response from Anwaristas (a term RPK said he coined back in 98) is diarrhea" because RPK in the interviews had said "...Anwar Ibrahim irrelevant and saying things like...in Malaysia, you can't be a PM and a gay at the same time".
This is the second time that RPK's appearance on mainstream media, since he fled overseas, that had sparked much discomfort among the Parti Keadilan Rakyat, Pakatan Rakyat and the Anwaristas.
The first was an interview on TV3 in April last year when RPK named several people of trying to implicate Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor to a murder with the intention of preventing Najib from assuming the prime ministership.
Another prominent blogger Sheih of the Kickdefella fame said he may not know RPK well but he believed that RPK was not a psychopant and fought for what he believed was right.
Sheih said even if what RPK said may not be music to the ears, he should be allowed to air his views freely and that is all that RPK is asking for.
